Take a step back in time to 1850 when the house that currently sits as the bridal suite was build. Dr. Estes, a locally renound doctor settled in the area and continued his practice. For generations to follow after his passing, the home sat empty, with mostly vacancies. Delapedated buildings covered the property, the house left abandoned, yet, the transormation was approaching. With tremendous amounts of planning, hard work, and persevernce, the Knotted Oak was dreamt upon. Construction began in 2022 with the demo of all smaller buildings surrounding the house. With just 17 months until the first wedding, crews worked around the clock to withstand the test of time.
With doors opening in October of 2023, Knotted Oak was created. Nestled on 90 acres in Cascade, Virginia, the views are endless, wildlife surrounds, and the rural life begins to settle in. Let's talk a little about the structures:
The Venue:
Designed upon an old church that once stood at the road on the property, the venue has a timeless theme. Gothic style windows line the sides, allowing natural light to flood in. Stained pine ceilings and wainscot contrast the white walls to create the ultimate photo shot. After walking through the 40' wide accordion doors, you enter the pavilion. Designed to allow outside events, the outdoor space nearly doubles the total covered area of the venue.
Bridal Suite:
The aforementioned house of Dr. Estes now stands as a stunning bridal suite. Remodeled to accomodate up to 12 guests comortably, this house has it all. A full kitchen, 3.5 baths, a king bedroom, two rooms that contain 2 queens and a bunk, a vibrant living room, and a salon area for the morning of. The original hardwood floors within most of the house along with modern farmhouse decor are sure to set the stage.
Groomsmen's Den:
What once stood as a kitchen in its day, now stands 200' away from its original location as a fun quarter for the men. Featuring a large front and back porch, billiards table, and 3 queen beds, the guys are sure to get their day started off on the right foot.
Honeymoon Suite:
Tucked away near the pond, stands a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, woodsided cabin that provides the upmost peace and comfort after a long day. A full kitchen gives the opportunity for a midnight snack, if needed.
Bathrooms:
No need for anyone to wait in line for the next stall to open up with this facility. Both men's and women's bathrooms contain 6 seperate stalls and multiple sinks. Located in close proximity to the venue, a short walk.
